Edward Barry

I'm an American ex-pat living in Berlin now. Have lived in Germany for the past five years, loved it and decided to stay. Graduated from University of California at Davis, California with degrees in English Literatures, Philosophy, Film Critique, and Psychology. Worked in China and Belgium before finally settling down a bit in Köln. Decided I wanted to pursue my doctorate, and moved to Berlin to join the graduate program in European Literatures, focusing on British Lit at the Humboldt University. I speak fluent English and German, and also have proficiency in French and Mandarin. Other than Literature, my two great passions in life are the culinary arts and martial arts, and through a blending of the two I've managed to stay rather fit. Currently fighting amateur Muay Thai in Berlin, and have performed with a professional Capoiera group doing demonstrations in Köln and competed on a National level in Wushu in the United States. I'm searching for beauty in my movements, whether it be through dance, choreography, or martial arts. Through modeling, I'm looking for a way to express to my friends and family the thrill and ecstasy I feel when I move, dance, or fight. Along the way, I've developed my interest in fashion, specifically formal and casual wear, and am constantly trying to find a style that suits my physical make up. Currently living in Friedrichshain, Berlin. I have a U.S. Passport with a German visa, so general travel is not a problem.
